Jamie is a lifelong woodworker who enjoys the challenge of creating custom pieces for his clients. He lived and worked in Bermuda from the early 90s until 2006; then spent 18 years in Nova Scotia, Canada building furniture and working on boats. He and his wife, Jennifer, have recently moved back to Bermuda and look forward to working with former clients and meeting new ones.

For over four decades Jamie has been a woodworker - always learning, always working to improve his craft. All his work is handmade, designed and crafted one piece at a time. Each project begins with conversations to flesh out ideas that clients have, and from there the process is collaborative and creative. No matter the project the goal is always the same – to create beauty by giving new life to the material and to make things by hand that will last a lifetime.

The three primary focuses of James Constable Woodworks are: one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture, built-in pieces for the home such as libraries, display units, and storage and interior woodwork for yachts and boats. For the latter Jamie has done work on super yachts, classic sailing vessels, and even Nova Scotia’s famous Bluenose. His furniture and cabinetry can be found in homes, offices, and galleries in Bermuda and Canada.
